I am a PhD candidate in the Political Science department at Yale University and a visiting scholar at Freie Universität Berlin. I’m interested in the effects of political influence on the bureaucracy, administrative corruption, and bureaucratic capacity in the developmental state. I also study the adoption and efficacy of gender quotas in electoral politics. I utilize a mixed methods approach to my work, incorporating formal modeling, qualitative evidence and quantitative analysis. My work is currently funded by the Fox Fellowship at Yale.
